My Favorite Things. . . Giveaway!

♪♫ Brown paper packages tied up with string… These are a few of my favorite things! ♫♪

It’s that time of year, and I’m feeling SO very festive! I’m so excited to announce this giveaway, as I’ve been dreaming about some of these gifts since LAST YEAR! I want to share my joy & blessings with you, my readers, and I hope that you will enjoy hearing about some of my favorite things! ♥

Partylite! One of my obsessions is Partylite Candles, and during the holidays, I light candles each & every single night. The top of my entertainment center is covered in candle holders, from pillar stands to votive cups, to tealight houses and aroma melts in warmers. I absolutely adore candles, and I love that Partylite has so very many choices of scents (or “flavors,” as my BFF likes to call them!). I have a closet full of Partylite’s signature pretty, pale turquoise boxes, and love to open the door just to get a whiff of the great smells! Plus, my board games smell AWESOME! (They’re located on the shelf at the top of the closet. :-) )

004
One of my all-time favorite scents is “Holiday Spices.” Partylite isn’t selling the scent this year, but the description calls it, “Vanilla laced with cinnamon and cloves.” It’s a creamy ivory color, and it burns almost clear. And for the first day of “My Favorite Things Giveaway,” I’m giving away ONE DOZEN TEALIGHTS in this dreamy scent!

Cookie Cutter Lights! Last year, Williams-Sonoma offered the neatest set of holiday lights – a twinkling strand of white lights inside decorative tin cookie cutter shapes!

001

I fell in LOVE with these lights, but they were discontinued after the season and almost impossible to find. My husband scoured eBay until he found some, and he gifted me with them. I just *knew* one of my readers would love them too, so… for the second day of “My Favorite Things Giveaway,” I’m giving away a set of WILLIAMS-SONOMA COOKIE CUTTER LIGHTS to one of you! ♥

Cake Pops! I trust that by now, you’ve all heard of cake pops and the amazing diva Bakerella who created them, right? If you haven’t, STOP what you’re doing right now, and head over to her site to check out her amazing work! I created my first cake pops way back for the premiere of Twilight: New Moon (to give credit to the first book, actually), and I used her apple design. Her blog is inspiring & funny & creative, and her book is even better! When she announced she would be doing a book tour, I fervently hoped she would come someplace close. Well, in September, “close” meant Minneapolis (which is a 9.5-hour drive!), but my friend Janelle & I made the trip anyway! Meeting Angie was worth it, though! She was so kind, and took so much time to chat with each of us, making me feel SO SPECIAL, and I loved her bubbly personality!

IMG_3927

003

Her book is amazing, and has so many CUTE new cake pops! She offers beautiful step-by-step photos of the process to make each one, and I can tell you from experience that it really IS easy, and you CAN do it! And for the third day of “My Favorite Things Giveaway,” I picked up an extra copy of Cake Pops and had Bakerella sign it just for one of you! That’s right – an AUTOGRAPHED COPY OF CAKE POPS! I’m also adding a set of cute, glittery cupcake ornaments with the book, if only because they remind me of Bakerella’s signature cupcake pop. ♥

Longaberger! I first fell in love with Longaberger through the beautiful baskets that my mother-in-law had all over her house… and then she gave me my first basket the first Christmas my husband and I were married. I was hooked from that point forward, and I even sold the products for years to support my own habit. All of our dishes are in the Heritage Green pottery, and I still love using my baskets all over the house for a bit of “country chic” storage. You can see my Recipe Basket in action in this post. :-)

002
Each basket is signed & dated by the weaver, and is a true collectible. They’re just as useful as pretty, and they can work hard – trust me! The optional fabric liners & plastic protectors increase the functionality, too. For the fourth day of “My Favorite Things Giveaway,” I’m giving away a LONGABERGER HOLIDAY HELPER BASKET with Paprika Liner & Protector, and I’m adding a set of 3×5 Longaberger Recipe Cards. Together, this would make a great spot for storing those favorite holiday recipes you want to remember each year! :-)

Pampered Chef! I tell folks all the time that I’m a “Pampered Chef Junkie,” but I swear it’s true! In the early years of our marriage, I hosted a big party every six months, slowly earning practically the entire catalog of amazing kitchen tools, and I STILL love them! I’ve had their Professional Cookware for over ten years, and I just can’t speak highly enough about it. Now, though, Pampered Chef has a newer line of nonstick cookware – the Executive Collection – and it is even more amazing! I have some upgraded pieces of this myself, and I use them each day. I love how everything I cook slides out simply & easily for washing, too. It makes clean-up a breeze! The handles are soft & stay cool, and the hard-anodized aluminum outside is fused with titanium, and the look is purely GORGEOUS. When I first pulled out my pots & pans, I couldn’t stop running my fingers over the silky-smooth surface… really! :-D

074

The tempered clear glass lids are another feature I love! I can check on my food without opening the lid & losing precious steam for faster cooking. The handles have a lot of clearance for your fingers (something my husband loves, too!), and the cookware is oven-safe up to 400°, too. Can you imagine the possibilities?! Start dreaming now, because for the fifth & final day of “My Favorite Things Giveaway,” I’m sending one lucky person a TPC Executive Cookware 10″ Skillet with Lid! (Brand-new, by the way, even though you can see my used one in the picture above. I can’t show you the new one well in packaging, see? ;-) )

And that’s a handful of my favorite things! I’m thankful for so much, and I’m blessed to be able to share with my readers & fans for this holiday season. I cannot wait to find my lucky winners! Here’s how things will shake down, and the official rules:

- The giveaway begins on Monday, Nov. 28th, and the five prizes will be drawn from the entries on consecutive days, with drawings starting on Friday, Dec. 2nd and ending on Tuesday, Dec. 6th.
- Winners will be drawn each night at 9:00pm CST, starting on Friday, Dec. 2nd.
- Only one prize can be won per person. For example, if you win the first day’s drawing, your subsequent entries are null & void for any other drawings.
- 1st Day (Friday, Dec. 2nd) = ONE DOZEN TEALIGHTS
- 2nd Day (Saturday, Dec. 3rd) = COOKIE CUTTER LIGHT SET
- 3rd Day (Sunday, Dec. 4th) = SIGNED COPY OF CAKE POPS & ORNAMENTS
- 4th Day (Monday, Dec. 5th) = HOLIDAY BASKET SET & 3×5 RECIPE CARDS
- 5th Day (Tuesday, Dec. 6th) = TPC EXECUTIVE COOKWARE 10″ SKILLET WITH LID

And now for the easy part – entering for your chance to win! You have LOTS of chances, so I hope you take advantage!

REQUIRED: Leave a comment on THIS POST telling me one of your favorite things this holiday season. Whether it’s a favorite household item, your favorite holiday movie, your favorite holiday cookie, a favorite family tradition, or just the first Christmas carol that pops into your head, tell me about it & make me smile! :-)

OPTIONAL: For additional chances to win, you may also do any or all of the following:

1. ‘Like’ my Facebook Page (or comment that you have previously ‘liked’ the page)
2. Follow me on Twitter (or comment that have previously done so)

Be sure to leave your email address with each comment, as I need to be able to contact you if you’re the winning entry! I will use Random.org to generate winners. You will have 48 hours to respond to my email if you are a winner, or I will draw a second-chance winner & you will forfeit your prize. Thanks for reading, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :-D

  20. Jennifer on said:

I love my white Christmas tree. Its loaded with white lights and colorful ornaments. A tradition we started years ago was letting the kids put candy canes on the tree by themselves. Now that they are older they can do the whole tree but we still have the candy canes and now they are just as colorful as the ornaments, it takes me forever to pick the “perfect” ones in the store. Its kinda like I get new ornaments every year!

    amazing cookies!

  79. One of my favorite traditions (and there are many in my home) was & still is loading up the kids, now in their 20′s & 30′s, and driving around on Xmas Eve to look at all the holiday lights in the small town we live close to. We take along some treats (homemade English toffee, Russian Teacake cookies and some hot chocolate) and seek out the best & not-so-great decorations in no particular order. When we saw particularly adorable inflatables, which there are TONS of nowadays but not so much 10 years ago, we would stop and let one of the kids get out and hug it. One year it had rained on the afternoon of Xmas Eve and when my older daughter ran out to hug her favorite inflatable, Frostie the Snowman, the hat on his head that had filled with water from the earlier rain and dumped all over her! Shrieks and giggles were heard throughout the land as my drenched daughter jumped back into the car! Soaked daughter…priceless!

My favorite thing to do during the holiday season is bake Christmas cookies with my son. Also since he was born I have done a picture Christmas card and each year the whole family waits to see what theme/pictures I have come up with. It’s the 2nd already and have a few ideas but I have to play around with them to get the perfect one;)

  104. Favorite holiday movie — it’s a toss-up:
The original “Miracle on 34th Street” with Natalie Wood and the more recent tradition of “Christmas Story.” It’s not xmas without watching these films with my family even now that they’re in their own homes. We pick a weekend night to gather and everyone brings some holiday goodies to share with the crowd!

  105. Even with the kids in their 20′s & one 30-yr-old, they still want to open ONE gift on Christmas Eve at mom’s house. It’s funny because it’s not really a surprise as to what they will get…the pre-xmas gift is always pajamas/nightgown but the one year I didn’t do it (I thought my 20+ year olds wouldn’t miss it) there was lots of grumbling! LOL!!!

I can leave all that other stuff out and just spend time with my family, and that would be the true meaning of Christmas to me.
